Cardinal Football History

Winning Tradition...

Whittemore-Prescott has had a winning tradition over the past few years. Over the past eight years the Cardinals have made seven playoff appearances. Winning four regional titles and having three state final births. All of these ending in one of the greatest seasons in W-P football history. The 2000 Cardinals were the first ever to accomplish the goal that every team before it had, they became State Champions.

In 2001, the Cardinals were knocked out of the playoffs in the first round.  Even though there were some players on the team that wanted it, I guess maybe there just weren't enough.  Those players will be missed.  That feeling after the game was horrible.  It was like a pit in my stomach, and I felt like we could've done better.  I don't want to feel that way again...

After that game, my team's season began. We have already begun putting the time in the weight room and in other off-season activities geared at helping us become better. The ball has been flying back and forth between the wide receivers and the will to win has begun to grow. 2002 will not be a year in which we wish for something good to happen to us, we are going to work for it.

Unity 2002...Don't wish for it, work for it.

"Don't wish for it, work for it."
